The anion gap in our human body usually is reported in the units of milliequivalents per liter that is represented as mEq/L. In our human body the normal results generally will fall in between that of 3 to about 10 mEq/L. However the , normal ranges can also vary by the lab values . In our body the high anion gap will indicate that our blood is much more acidic than the normal anion gap that should be seen in our body . This indicates that the individual is suffering from acidosis which is an acid base imbalance , which means that the normal levels of our human blood is acidic . Acidosis mainly can be a symptom of dehydration as well as , diarrhea, in the individual .
