Scenario 2: You are the CEO of a hospital. During a board meeting, many members expressed different views on how to finance the growth of a possible new location. They have come to you for guidance.

One of the financial principle advocates that a company should always be looking for expansion if the benefits are higher than costs.

In this case since there is a need to expand the business the employees of the organisation have came CFO for the guidance.

It must be kept in mind that if cost of expansion is lower than the overall return associated with the expansion, only then it will be prudent to finish the growth of possible new location.

If the cost of new location is higher than the benefits associated with it then one should not be looking for expansion.
