Why have both the dollar and the yuan appreciated so much ?

Homework Answers

Answer #1
  • chinese yuan has appreciated due to its widespread export activities. China is the biggest exporter & if home currency depriciates then it is good for exporters. when compared to dollar yuan is appreciating more because chinese products cater to worldwide needs & is cheaper. However for dollars or america in paticular their products are too tailored &customised serves only a handful. also america is a high value currency nation. America outsorces most of its manufacturing process from china & this makes yuan more in demand & thereby it appreciates more than dollar.
