Why would an LCD display on calculators or electronic wristwatches appear completely black when viewed through polarized sunglasses? How could one read the display without removing the sunglasses

***This is because if we rotate the polarized sunglasses to 90° it will block all the light rays passing through, so if you wear polarized glasses it is possible that the axis of polarization of them is crossed with respect to the one transmitted by the lcd , so everything appears to be black !!

***To read the display you have to simply rotate the sunglasses to an angle less than 90 ° so that we can avoid polarization of light that forces light rays to get blocked !!
