Various household environmental management practices in Ghana cities and its implication for the health of children and women are as follows:

  • Multiple form of violence against women : Multiple form of violence is being done by men on women in Ghanaian society which may include physical violence as well as mental and social form of violence. Because of all these there health is compromised most of the time. Physically they are much weaker because of all these than men.
  • Women have much less access to resources compare to man : They have very less access to resources as well compare to men which includes disparities in educations, employments, equal rights though constitution has given equal right to women but in reality it's not been followed.
  • Deterioration of health of women : Because of all the points explained above most of the time there is deterioration in health of the women which affects the health of newborn child as well. Right from childhood they are weak and don't have a developed immunity.
  • Children also faces many issue due to poverty : Right from childhood they face male nutrition, and other form of diseases. They also needs to struggle for right to live, and orphens conditoin is even poor than normal household child who atleast gets three time meal regularly.
