Answer #1

Invention definitely impacts an economy when it undergoes slow growth and a no growth season.Invention makes available new ways of production and better, effective and efficient ways of production. When an economy experiences slow and no growth, the economy is no longer producing at a good pace, therefore no invention is being made at this time. This affects the economy because it is no longerefficient and effective, there are not producing, and the economy is going through a recession at thispoint. To bring the economy back up companies need invention. They need to add investments, increaseproduction and sales, raise income, innovate new products, ideas in order to boost the economy.

Andrew McAfee, co-director of the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy, explains how the U.S. economy is growing and actually using less and less stuff to do so. What might not have been a success for some firms does not mean to say that there are no other firms that will be able to benefit. This article shows how problems faced by one firm in making sufficient profits are not necessarily shared by other firms as the use of factor inputs is changed.    ...
