“Ah a diamond! Does that mean it must be love? Or that your suitor has paid a massively over-inflated price for a cheap and common stone, whose value is artificially manipulated by a single company founded by Britain’s greatest colonialist, a stone whose profits have recently funded that bloodiest of violent conflicts in Africa, and whose entire modern tradition was invented by an expensive marketing campaign in the mid-20th century?”

This quote can be considered as obviously the one that can make us to think something quite deeply as it tells us that we got to value diamond as a high gh end product just because some other has perceived it in that way and even without thinking we got to use the same value. The company which proposed this high end value got to loot the customers where the consumers of diamond used the product without actually knowing the meaning of it. Therefore it is important to think why a particular good is necessary for us before purchasing it at higher prices.
