These unions act as a helping hand to strengthen the middle class and increasing their number by fighting for their rights and wages.

Unions demand and command higher wages and better working conditions at the very basic level. This helps reduce income from running away to the top section and being within the poor and middle class section. This helps stregthen the incomes of such middle class workers and their families and protect them from exploitation.

Unions are also shrinking in membership due to several factors like tough government regulation, technological changes leading to lower labor participation, decline in private sector jobs etc. These all have led to a fall in unions in America which will have a direct impact on the middle class as well.
