15. You go to a yard sale and see a dish for sale for $1. You like it, so you pay $1 and take it home. Later you happen to be on eBay.com, and you notice that dishes exactly like the one you bought are selling for $20. The price you paid for the dish was unfair.

Answer #1

The entire world runs on business and when you see that a similar product elsewhere which is indeed selling for higher price there can be a huge chance that it is a markup one. If you view it in that way we can say that the price which is set in the online stores were high and not the one you paid for. In order to live with the situation it is important that you set your willingness to pay and also understand the utility of the particular good and do proper research before purchasing of a product. The one who loses here if you pay less price is no one because the price is even done to cover up at least the variable cost of the product. In which we can say that what you did is totally fair where every legal way is fair in business.
