What are the set of principles or ideals that Robinson thinks socialists (should) hold?

Answer #1

Nathan J. Robinson views that socialists (should) hold the principles of equality, valuing solidarity, ecological sustainability and freedom. According to him socialists will be committed towards the “set of values,” deriving it from the solidarity ethic. Moreover the socialists properly responds to the climate change horrors and nuclear weapons. Also they offers an alternative political and moral foundation to the system and the principles that provide the economic inequality and dysfunctional democracy. Socialism should have set of principles or ideals, for a just political and economic system, instead of a detailed blueprint spelling out how the socialist society mechanics would perform. Furthermore there should be the application of democracy in the entire aspects of social life
