Some of the reasons that I am concerned or afraid about poverty
are : -
Poverty causes social unrest and increase in crime as people
living in poverty may turn to crime to overcome their poverty.
Poverty widens the gap between rich and poor as people living
in poverty may have to perpetually live in the cycle of poverty and
they may not have any means to come out of the poverty cycle.
Poverty leads to exploitation and other problems such as
traficking, slavery etc.
Peope living in poverty are easily prone to diseases and face
high rate of death.
Children living in poverty face high mortality rate and
children are especially traumatised as poverty denies them access
to education, food , clothing , shelter and other basic necessities
of life.
