- Absolute and Relative
- Some poverty irrespective of location or Era is called Absolute
poverty.
Poverty in which a person does not enjoy minimum level of middle
standards is called a Relative
poverty.
Poverty leads to lack of means, necessary to meet basic needs
such as food clothing and shelter.
If I were a policy maker I would do the following to reduce
poverty.
- Increase households cash income to support basic needs.
- Increase the earnings and wages of US workers.
- Provide a high Annual income.
- To keep US family out of poverty.
- Provide Anti poverty Programs for social safety and
assistance.
- Provide food vouchers to low income individuals and
families.
- Refund tax credits including the earned Income tax
credits.
- Provide school programs for poor students
