The full form of ERD is Entity relationship diagram it is one of the most useful features used in designing a databse however there are certain limitations of ERD which influence our choice of database design model these limitations are:

ERD only shows us the relational structures between different entities.

ERD cannot be made for unstructured data like the data which is not structured properly like it is not divided into different rows or columns and the data is not labelled properly.

ERD cannot be integrated with an existing database due to difference in architecture.

ALL the above mentioned limitations of ERD influnce us or compels us to choose a database design model which have structured data and in which entity relationship is clearly visible..
