INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT)
23. As an IoT expert, you know about ‘deployment’, ‘provisioning’ and ‘orchestration’ in the context of IoT. How would you shortly explain the key differences between the terms in a technical interview (to the interviewer)?
Answer)
Orchestration orchestrates within this abstraction layer. Having automation will orchestrate the data center abstraction layer which in turn can get a better functionality
Example: Network creation or VM deploy etc
Provisioning manifests concepts in the abstraction layer on physical resources. Example: Moving some of the volume's content from one storage area to the other
The cloud stack would only orchestrate whereas the provisioning for this is always moved to partner. And this orchestration of the cloud stack is utilized for deploying as well as auto-scaling the partner's technologies.
Deployment on the other hand is a kind of process meant for putting the new application or that of the new version of the application that would make the application server.
