What Dimensions and Measures would be required by the management of a "big box" retail chain store (e.g., Costco or Sam's Club)? What various Levels would exist within the Dimensions? What Technical Metadata and Business Metadata should be included in the Dimensional Modeling for such an organization's data?

This is what i have so far, i would just need help with the second part of the question involving metadata:

Some of the dimensions needed would be a customer table, product inventory table, employee table, location, and promotions. Some of the fact tables would be sales, and international sales. Within the customer table, there would need to be a name, id, a related region/location, and even a date added. With a product inventory table, the name of the product, a sku number, a price, the number of said products in the inventory, and a description of the product. An employee table would include the employees position, employee number, employee name, and the date started. With the location table, it could include country, region, state, city/town, and a location key number. In the promotion table, it could have a promotion number (if the promotions rotate), and a description of the promotion.

Answer #1

Technical metadata includes details about the technical features of a digital file or the various hardware and software environments needed for digital information to be made or stored and also include physical and security related aspects of the data , so in technical metadat we will be defining the security feature , we also need to include the data sources for format types and correct database access , schemas , attributes , location of the database in the physical drive and other hardware and softwre requirement for correct functioning of the database. In business metadata we need to include the relationships , ownership and calssification of the data based on the user , here we will be defining the functional dependencies of one table to another , classify the data into various usage patterns.

All data members of each class should be marked as **private** (a leading underscore in the name). Since they're private, if you need to access them from outside the class, you should do so via get or set methods. Any get or set methods should be named per the usual convention ("get_" or "set_" followed by the name of...
