describe two ways of determining the difference in height between two places on a building site?

Answer #1

1) The hight difference of two places can be determined by the device called auto level and leveling staff. Initially place the staff on first position and auto level on second position and take the reading of staff through auto level. Again repeat the same step by placing the staff on second position and auto level on first position, take the reading and calculate the difference between the two readings.

2)Another method is used with horizontal level. The level is placed horizontally on the point where the height is calculated and the depth can measured by the ruler. This will be the height difference.

Researchers want to estimate the difference between height of two counties. For this, a sample of 35 people from county A and a sample of 42 people from county B are taken. County A has mean height 5.75 ft and sample standard deviation 0.46 and County B has 5.25 ft. and sample standard deviation 0.21. Find the pooled variance. 0.120 0.245 0.421 0.346 0.061

To estimate the height of a building, two students find the angle of elevation from a point (at ground level) down the street from the building to the top of the building is 33∘33∘. From a point that is 250 feet closer to the building, the angle of elevation (at ground level) to the top of the building is 49∘49∘. If we assume that the street is level, use this information to estimate the height of the building. What is...
