An engineer at a consulting company has completed the design of an apartment complex and specified the materials that need to be used in order to satisfy safety requirements and design standards. However, after presenting the final project to the client she receives a phone call from the manager of the construction company who tries to convince her to change the material specification so that the company can purchase a slightly lower quality material at a considerably lower price. Briefly explain what she should do in this situation and why?

As she already presented the final project based in order to satisfy requirements and design standards it would be unauthentic to cheat the client by changing the design as per manager's order. Maintaing a honest and healthy relationship with client brings loyal clients who will trust the company. Winning their trust can lead to more profits than saving some amout purchasing low quality materials. And it is company's responsibility to give their client a best result and satisfying them. So she can convince her manager saying " Sir, it would be better if u go with this because by using low quality materials may lead to problems in future because we cannot put our clients lives at stake because it is all about safety so it would be better both for the company and client to go with this design".
