If ozone gas is totally absent in the atmosphere, the life would not be possible on earth .

The sun rays consist of light, Infrared rays (heat rays), and other types of radiation. High amount of UV (ultraviolet) radiation could cause skin cancer, cataracts, and harm plants and animals. Ozone layer in the atmosphere absorbs, or takes in, some of the sun’s harmful UV rays before they reach the ground or the atmosphere of earth. It works as a protective layer . ozone in the stratosphere works like earth’s Protective shield.

The plants that are at present seen , the living life would all be extincted as U.V rays are very much harmful for the living organisms .
