Making Anizo Dye : what would molar mass of product be of 10mmol of m-anisidine and 10 mmol N,N dimethylaniline in grams and sulfanilamide and Resorcinol . Thank you

Answer #1

a) Molar mass of m-anisidine = 123.15 g/mol

10 mmole m-anisidine = (10 mmole)*(1 mole/1000 mmole)*(123.15 g/mol) = 1.2315 g (ans).

b) Molar mass of N,N-dimethylaniline = 121.19 g/mol

10 mmole m-anisidine = (10 mmole)*(1 mole/1000 mmole)*(121.19 g/mol) = 1.2119 g (ans).

c) Molar mass of sulfanilamide = 172.2 g/mol

10 mmole sulfanilamide = (10 mmole)*(1 mole/1000 mmole)*(172.2 g/mol) = 1.722 g (ans).

d) Molar mass of Resornicol = 110.1 g/mol

10 mmole m-anisidine = (10 mmole)*(1 mole/1000 mmole)*(110.1 g/mol) = 1.100 g (ans).

The molar absorptivity, ε, for the dye called xylenol blue (C23H22O5S, molar mass = 410.49 g mol-1) was found by experiment to be 8.15×103 L mol-1 cm-1 at 424 nm. The percent transmittance of a 960 mL solution of xylenol blue was determined to be 30.9%. If the path length of the cell is 2.19 cm, determine the mass (in g) of xylenol blue present in the solution. Report your answer to 3 significant figures in scientific notation.

n this week's experiment you will determine the molar mass of carbon dioxide by measuring the mass of an Erlenmeyer flask full of the gas. The following calculations are intended to familiarize you with the general procedure: The mass of an empty Erlenmeyer flask and stopper was determined to be 58.85 grams. When filled with distilled water, the mass was 303.4 grams. The atmospheric pressure was measured to be0.9385 atm, the room temperature was 20.00oC. At this temperature, the vapor...
