I needed the Total ionic and net ionic equations a)Cu(NO3)2 + KOH b) Mg + O2 c) Pb(NO3)2 + NaI d) NaCl + Na2CO3

And can someone also state if any of these are a redox reaction

Answer #1

Answer:

Cu(NO3)2(aq)+2KOH(aq)=Cu(OH)2(s)+2KNO3(aq)

Total ionic equation: Cu2+(aq) + 2NO3-(aq) + 2K+(aq) + 2OH-(aq) --> Cu2+(aq) + 2OH-(aq) + 2K+(aq) + 2NO3-(aq)

Net ionic equation:  Cu2+(aq) + 2OH-(aq) ---> Cu(OH)2(s)

2Mg(s )+ O2(g) --> 2MgO(s)

Redox reaction

Pb(NO3)2(aq) + 2 NaI(aq) --> 2 NaNO3(aq) + PbI2(s)

Total ionic equation : Pb2+ + 2NO3-(aq) + 2 Na+ + 2I-(aq) = 2 Na+ + 2NO3-(aq) + Pb2+ + 2I-(s)

Net ionic equation: Pb2+(aq) + 2I- --> PbI2 (s)

NaCl + Na2CO3 ---> No reaction
