Weak field Ligand or High spin: there is the no pairing of electrons.these complex have maximum number of unpaired electrons.these complexes having maximum number of unpair electrons are called high spin or spin free complex.

Strong field Ligand or Low spin: these complex have maximum number of paired electrons.

Pairing Energy: the energy required to force the two unpaired electrons in one orbital is called pairing energy.When more than one electrons are paired,P becomes mean pairing energy.
