yes there is a limiting reagent
since i am organic chemist i will take one organic reaction to explain this
lets take the synthesis of Asprin
Salicylic acid + acetic anhydride -------> Acetyl salicilate (Asprin) + biproduct (Acetic acid)
if you observe this reaction
one mole of salicylic acid will react with one mole of Acetic anhydride will give one mole of Asprin
here all the time limiting reagent is salicylic acid
because while doin reaction all the time you will take excess acetic anhydride compare to salicylic acid
again Question why we need to take excess acetic anhydride right?
one mole salicylic acid is more cost than acetic anhydride so at any cost all the salicylic acid must consume thats why we will take excess acetic anhydride
