polarizability is property of anion of being polarized..the more an anion is having loosely held electrons in outer shells, more polarized it is and more covalent property that bond have..
polarizability directly proportional to size of anion and negative charge on anion.

like if your class room is large you get distrub easily by other persons because teacher attention is low on you.

if classroom is small then you can distrub by others because teacher attention is more on you.

same polarizability also larger the size of anion easily distorted.
