I collect the oxalate anion containing complex (the acid form of which reacts with potassium permanganate to form carbon dioxide and water, while it itself forms solubilized MN+2) of an unknow calcium containing sample and, following precipitation to purify the calcium oxalate, I redissolve it into an acidic solution (which converts the oxalate in oxalic acid). I add to this 16ml of .015 M KMnO6 solution, at which point my indicator suggests that no oxalic acid remains. What was the mass of calcium obtained from the unknown sample?
