What is the molar absorptivity of caffeine?
You have to calculate it yourself and cannot be found on internet and has to be calculated as it depends on the solvent in which you are dissolving it.
You can calculate it using Beer's law
A = e L c
A = absorbance
e = molar extinction coefficient
L = length of cuvette(through which light passes)
c = concentration
From your lab report you can find the value of abosrbance ,concentration and length of cuvette.
You will have a spectrophotometer in lab where this experiment can be done or else,you gather data for your problem and you can find our its molar extinction coefficient.
