2. Affinity is the degree to which a substance tends to combine with another. It can be affected by volatility of the substance (phase transformation) or Polarity or Hydrogen Bonding (Interaction properties).

3. Hydrophilic - tendency to dissolve in or mix with water

Lipophilic - tendency to dissolve in lipids and fats

4. Partition equilibrium is a special case of chemical equilibrium which comprises equilibria between substances in different phases, such as two liquids that do not mix (are immiscible).

Changing the concentration or pH can change the partition equilibrium.
