What does an absorbance vs eluent graph tell you?

The separation of the components of a mixture based on different attractive forces that they have with the adsorbent (fixed phase). The more strongly attracted by the adsorbent will be the more difficult to elute with the solvent (mobile phase) and will be the least moves. On this basis the various pigments are separated according to their affinity for the stationary phase as well as the eluent.
