Bond order is defined as the difference between the number of bonding electrons divided by 2, and the number of anti-bonding electrons divided by 2.

Fluorine molecule, F2, has 18 electrons in total. Out of these electrons, only 14 are valence electrons(i.e number of electrons in the outermost shell of the element).

It has 10 bonding electrons and 8 antibonding electrons. Therefore it's Bonding Order is 1.

Whereas the bond order of F2+ is 1.5 as it as 7 antibonding electrons.

Hence bond dissociation energy of F2+ will be higher than F2.

( Higher the bond order stronger the bond and higher is the bond dissociation enthalpy )
