Based on feedback mechanisms in the endocrine system explain why the body of an athlete who takes an artificial form of testosterone, such as a steroid, might stop producing his own testosterone.
If an Athlete is taking artificial testosterone then amount of testosterone will increse in blood of athlete. Thus as a result the body will stop releasing LH (leutinizing Hormone).
As we know the function of LH:-
In Male-LH stimulates testosterone release by the Leydig's cells of testis.
In Female-LH stimulates steroid release from the ovaries, Ovulation and the relese of Progesterone after ovulation by Corpus luteum.
Thus as a result it would decrease the gonad's own Production of testosterone.
