How might a palaeontologist learn about the behaviour of an animal from its fossil remains? By examining other fossils or artefacts found with it. By examining the size and shape of its skull. By sequencing its DNA. By studying the rock strata in which it was found. By using radioisotopic dating methods to accurately determine its age.
Behaviour of a fossil is determined by observing the other fossils around, observing trace fossils if any present in the viscinity. The strata of the rock where they are present also gives some insight in to the behaviour of the animal. If there are many fossils of the same animal present togather, it can be concluded that the animals live in groups. The trace fossils such as tracks give the mode of movement of the animal and also tell about if the animal digs burrows or not.
1.BY examining other fossils or artefacts found with it, 2. by studying the rock strata in which it was found....these can be used to determine the behaviour of the fossil animal.
