If antibiotics can cause a long term effects or any kind of antibiotic resistance I would be studying the pharmacodynamics of the drug which gives us the idea of the drug metabolism in our body. Pharmocodynamics allow us to study the metabolism and time of drug in the body. By this we can estimate the amount of time drug was in our body and this in turn has caused any kind of the resistance to the resident microbes. The time of presence of antibiotics in the body should be reduced by which it won’t allow the antibiotic resistance to other resident microorganism. This study also allows the amount of drug absorbed and excreted which can be used to study the effect of remaining drug on the microorganism.
