Immunization with MMR vaccine(measkes,mumps, rubella )
Vaccination before travelling to limit the spread of infection
to others
Limiting the risk of infecting other people by staying away
from work place or school for a period of four days
Health care and child care staff should be tested for immunity
to rubells and if found not immune, should be immunized
People suspecting rubella should consult a doctor to verify
diagnosis
Pregnant women should be tested for immunity for the disease
before or during early pregnancy . MMR vaccination is given if they
are not found to be immune
