Nucleus is present inside the eukaryotic cell. Eukaryotic cell includes a plant cell, an animal cell, a Protozoa and a fungal cell. Prokaryotic cells like bacteria, Cyanobacteria, mycoplasma don't have nucleus. Nucleus contains the chromatin, which is a thread like structure made up of DNA and proteins. Nucleus is covered with double layer known as the nuclear envelope. Nuclear envelope has pores known as the nuclear pores. These pores help in the transportation between the cytoplasm and the nucleoplasm. Nucleus regulates cellular metabolism, protein synthesis, cell division etc.
