What organisms will respond to a pathogen by the generation of antigen specific T and B cells, please explain? a. bacteria, b. insect, c. dog, d. human, d. plant
d.humans
humans have the adaptive immune system that helps to prevent any
pathogens from entering into the body or to destroy any pathogens
that are entered inti the body. the adaptive immune system is
carried out by white blood cells called lymphocytes. the
lymphocytes have two different classes called B-cells and T-cells.
B-cells secrete antibodies which are also called immunoglubulins.
t-cells react directly against a foreign antigen that is entered
into a host cell surface.
B-cells have receptors on their surface that can recognize
different types of antigens. whenit comes in contact with an
antigen it secretes antibodies that act against the antigens.
T-cells also have the receptors that detect foreign antigen. it
attacks directly on the foreign antigen and eliminates the pathogen
before it tries to replicate in the host cell.
