Inflammation and allergic reponses involves both local and systemic level of responses. The loval inflammatory response occurs in the area where ther ehas been the infection giving rise to swelling, redness and edema and heat production. The systemic inflammatory response is observed when it affects the whole body. The infection in the local region causes the various immune cells of the body to form a series of reactions that would activate all the important immune molecules of the body leading to systemic response which is much more severe than the local response.
