Thermoregulation and control of basic metabolic rate is the function of thyroid hormones T3 and T4. Thyroid hormones increase heart ratr and thereby blood supply to different parts of the body is increased. It also increases the appetite and regulate fat metabolism, thereby regulating temperature and basic metabolic rate. Therefore, the answer for this question is option a (thyroid hormones T3 and T4).

Calcitonin and parathyroid hormones are involved in calcium metabolism. Thyroid stimulating hormone is secreted by the anterior pituitary and stimulates thyroid gland to secrete thyroid hormones.
