Answer #1

Life span and fecundity are important factors whuch determine population growth. These both are component of same major factor which govern birth rate and mortality. If individuals in population has a big life span and a range of time where both male and female remain fertile then increase in population growth in those period can be seen though due to limit on fertility time period population will posses a control . A population where individuals has big life span and remain fertile most of their life, will cause blast in population growth and will also led to depletion of resources.

It is very important to understand these both factors to determine population growth rate and future stability of population with respect to resources required by them.
