Transverse plane of motion allows rotational movements and
diagonal movements. This type of motion can be seen in case of
rotation exercise holding a medicine ball.
Frontal plane of motion allows only side-to-side movement, like
abduction and adduction. This can be seen in exercise like lateral
lunge, where lateral movements are allowed.
Sagittal plane of motion allows only front-back movements. This
allows flexion and extension of joints. This can be seen in case of
front lunge.
