Answer #1

Answer ) Decrease in Salivation ,decrease in motility of Digestive tract ,dilatation of Pupil of eye ,decrease in heart rate and urrinary retention

Atropine is antimuscuranic and act by blocking muscuranic receptors .

Atropine decrease the Secretion from glands and cause dry mouth also reduced Sweating ,Salivation and Lacrimation .Atropine is contraindicated in children due to risk of Hyperthermia ( due to Decreased sweating ) .

Atropine result in bradycardia and decrease in heart rate due to inhibition of preSynaptic muscuranic receptors ( M3) .

Atropine result in urinary retention by decreasing the motility of urinary tract .

Atropine has mydriatic ( dilatation of Pupil ) and cycloplegic action ( paralysis of Ciliary muscles ) .

4. 1.56 Kmols/hr of HI is reacted with CH3OH to produce CH3I according to the following reaction HI + CH3OH =CH3I + H2O HI is separated from the product stream and recycles back into the reactor. The product contains 50 mol % CH3I and 50 mol % CH3OH and the waste stream contains 40 mole % HI and 60 mole % H2O. The single pass fractional conversion of the process is 40%. Calculate: Methanol added & Amount of HI recycles?
