30 . During respiration venous return increases as the pressure in the thoracic cavity becomes more negative. This reduced intrathoracic pressure draws more blood into the right atrium

31. Venous valves prevents the backflow of blood and provides a unidirectional flow this increases venous return.

Peripheral veins work in coordination with skeletal muscles contraction to increase the venous return to the heart. when the muscle contracts the valves are forced to open and increases the venous return.
