What is the effect of losing one ovary in the female reproductive system? What is the effect of losing one testicle in the male reproductive system?

What occurs in a woman during menopause? What is the purpose of this change? Do males go through a similar process? Why or why not?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Removal of one ovary still allows a woman to continue to menstruate and to have children, as long as the remaining ovary is not damaged. When both ovaries are removed, menstrual periods stop, a woman can no longer become pregnant, and estrogen and progesterone are no longer produced by the reproductive system.

But if only one ovary is removed she can become pregnant

If one testis is removed

A single testicle can produce enough testosterone to fuel your sex drive. This amount of testosterone is also enough for you to get an erection and ejaculate during an orgasm. However, if you recently lost a testicle, your healthcare provider can give you a some more detailed guidance on what to expect

One of the hard things is deciding whether you should use energy methods or not in each part. I’ll give you some help with making this decision by getting you to think about whether the system is energetically isolated. Consider a setup similar to...
