Why is there a significant difference in the TP interval of an ECG in athletes vs non athletes?

UPDATE: The question is regarding TP waves

Homework Answers

Answer #1

TP interval of ECG represents the segment between the ventricular repolarization events (T wave ) and the atrial depolarization(P wave ).In, non athletes;the TP interval time, during that heart muscles remains inactivated or electrically silent. Whereas in athletes, heart rate increases which causes the TP interval to become shorter for the repeated round of the beating of heart for the supply of oxygenated blood to the muscles. Moreover, in athletes, the T wave of the one cardiac cycle merges with the P wave of the succeeding cardiac cycle due to fast heart rhythm.

Researchers in the corporate office of an airline wonder if there is a significant difference between the cost of a flight on Priceline.com vs. the cost of the same flight on the airline's own website. A random sample of 6 flights were tracked on Priceline.com and the airline's website and the mean difference in price (Priceline.com - Airline Site) was $-51.971 with a standard deviation of $11.1065. Create a 99% confidence interval for the true average difference in costs between...

Imagine you were using a hypothesis test to determine if a significant difference exists in mean price between the two stores (the hypotheses would be H0: mD= 0 vs Ha: mD≠0).  What conclusion can be made in this case using only your confidence interval? Provide an answer and a reason for your choice in one or two sentences.  Again, please only use your confidence interval to answer this question (i.e. do not run this hypothesis test). Confidence Interval 95%: Lower Limit =...
