Jack has always been prone to UTIs. He started experiencing flank pain in his lower back and he also noticed that although he has been exercising more than normal, he has been gaining weight and his face even looked more chubby than normal. He finally went to the doctor while battling yet another UTI and a urine analysis was done. His urine was observed to be cloudy and it also contained protein. Why do you think Jack would be having flank pain in his lower back?

* Flank pain is a sensation of discomfort, distress or agony in the part of the body below the rib and the ileum, generally beginning posterior or in the midaxillary line and " resulting in the stimulation of specialized nerve endings upon distension of the ureter or renal capsule.
