Hence, bones become brittle and get fractures oftenly. Osteoporosis is more common in females than male individuals due stopped release of estrogen hormone after menopause in women.
Hormone imbalance is a important risk factor (besides smoking) and in case of this disease and patients have to go for hormones replacement therapy (HRT). But individuals might prevent this via maintaining their diet, it should be calcium and vitamin rich and regular light exercise.
