Development of visual system with age includes:

1. Absence of central fixation at birth.

2. Fixation reflex starts by first month of life and is established by 6 months.

3. Macular stereopsis and accommodation reflex develop by 6 months.

4. Full visual acuity (6/6) develops by 6 years of age.

All these occurs by time as the child starts to learn focussing on different subjects and development of neural circuits occur completely. Thus Thuly expirence to light is an important feature.
