Non-pharmacological pain therapy is associated with non-medical/ pharmacological pain management. The aim of such intervention is to decrease distress, apprehension and unease diminish pain. This nonpharmacological technique is associated with counselling to the patient based on the age of patient, the development level, previous drug therapy and past experiences towards pain. It also involves use of physical therapy like massage, fomentation (hot and cold), acupuncture, music therapy and stress relaxation.
