This question relates to contract law
Blake, who was 17 years old, married a 17-year-old name Amy. After the wedding they moved to another city, where they both found work and began to buy furniture. When they realized they had been unwise in some of their purchases, they attempted to rescind the contracts, claiming they were minors. Will they be successful in avoiding the contracts? Why?
They can’t avoid contracts.
The joint agreement between two parties that is either written or spoken but done in good faith with utmost disclosure and ultimately which can be enforced by law is a contract.
Above points suggest that those minors didn’t disclose their minority at the time of agreement. This is an offense; therefore, they can’t get legal defense now.
Moreover, although they are minors they act like a major; they get marry and now doing work. All these things indicate that they are matured enough. They may not get defense if these points are raised.
