1) The manufacturer of a car brand is categorical variable. The manufacturers are categories like maruti, ktm or any other manufacturers. The variable is divided into categoiries. So it is categorical.

The variable is nominal categorical variable as there is no order among the categories.

2) The amount of money in a bank account is a measurable variable. The amount ia a quantitative value like 25000,30000 or 35000. These are values and can take any number within a range so it is continuous.. These are continuous.measurable variable.
