Homework Answers

Answer #1

Using given frequencies we calculate cumulative frequency

Age (years) of Best Actress When award was won Cumulative Frequency
Less than 30

28

Less than 40 = 28 + 37 = 65
Less than 50 = 65 + 14 = 79
Less than 60 = 79 + 2 = 81
Less than 70 = 81 + 7 = 88
Less than 80 = 88 + 2 = 90
Less than 90 = 90 + 2 = 92

Note:

Cumulative Frequency : Cumulative frequency is defined as a running total of frequencies. Cumulative frequency can also defined as the sum of all previous frequencies up to the current point.

In above frequency table there is a repetation of frequency that means 28 written as 2828 and 37 as 3737 so calculating cumulative frequency we not consider frequencies are 28, 37, 14, 2, 7, 2, 2
