Why would the descriptive Statistics table value and formula values in excel for mean, median, mode, variance, and standard deviation be the same

If we use a command in excel as  

Data >>>Data Analysis >>> Descriptive Statistics>>>summary statistics

Then we get the summary of the selected column.

In the summary, we get mean, Standard error, Median, Mode, Standard deviation, sample variance, etc. in a tabular form.

If we want to find only mean, then there is a command in excel as "=AVERAGE()" . And we get mean only.

Since mean of the data set is unique, therefore we get same answer as using descriptive statistics or by using formula.

Similarly for median, mode, and variance, standard deviation
